Fristad, Donna (Marriage - 14 January 1956)

Miss Donna Fristad, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nordahl Fristad, Humbird, on Saturday afternoon, January 14, became the bride of Donald Lund, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lund of Humbird.  The Rev. H. A. Hartmann performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, carried a bouquet of pink roses on a whie prayer book.  She wore a floor-length gown of French Chantilly lace with tulle and satin.  The sleeves were wrist length and the bodice had a v-neckline edged in a scalloped collar.  An apron of lace over a double flounce of tulle caught up in the back revealed row over row of tulle ruffling.  She wore a double halo crown of seed pearls and imported iridescent with a silk fingertip veil.

The maid of honor was Miss Nathella McLaughlin, Merrillan, and the bridesmaid was Miss Darleen Barka, Fairchild.

Best man was Carl Brown and groomsman was James Trachsel, both of Humbird.  The ushers were Charles Lund, brother of the groom, and Kally Theiler.

Soloist was Miss Mary Ann Lightfoot and the organist was Mrs. Wm. Theiler of Humbird.

A reception was held in the church parlors immediately following the ceremony.

After a wedding trip they will reside in Humbird.

Showers were given by Mrs. Gay McLaughlin and daughter Nathella in Merrillan and by Mrs. Wm. Theiler and Mrs. Fred Trachsel in Humbird.
