Schultz, Irvin A. (30 June 1902 - 29 April 1956)

Irvin A. Schultz, 53, of Sauk City, and a former Neillsville road contractor, died April 29, at Logansport, Ind.

Funeral services were to be conducted today (Thursday) at 1:00 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home.  The Rev. Frank B. Harcey, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated.  The body was taken to Bruce for interment.

Mr. Shultz was born June 30, 1902, in Columbus to Frank and Elsa (Swieso) Schultz.  As a small boy he moved with his family to Loyal, where he attended rural school and Loyal High School.  He later formed a partnership with his brother, Earl, when they went into the trucking business and then in road contracting, and later the garage business, which is now Urban Sales and Service in Neillsville.

Following the sale of the garage the two brothers went back into road contracting in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  About four years ago they dissolved partnership and two years ago he went into the trucking business for himself.  He had been in poor health for the past several years, and while on a trip near Logansport, Ind., he was stricken with the fatal heart attack.

His marriage to Jean Kennicott took place April 29, 1944.

Mr. Schultz is survived by his wife and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Vern (Sadie) Daggy, Mishawaka, Ind.; Mrs. Ted (Madeline) Shaw, Milwaukee; Earl of St. Paul; Reuben of Shell Rock, Ia.; and Harvey Cole of Madison, Wis.
