Evans, Addie (29 December 1897 - 17 June 1957) 
 

Mrs. Addie Evans, 59, of Neillsville, died June 17, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Shaw, in Black River Falls.   
 

Funeral services were to be conducted Wednesday from the Neillsville Methodist Church, with the Rev. Wayne Grover of Black River Falls and the Rev. Virgil Holmes of Neillsville officiating.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Evans was born December 29, 1897, in Clark County, the daughter of the late Frank and Cordelia (Scott) Asplin. She was a lifetime resident of Clark County. She married Cleve Evans in 1915 at Neillsville.  Mrs. Evans worked for several years at the Clark County Hospital at Owen.  She was a member of the Methodist Church and Golden Link Lodge, No. 78.  
 

Surviving are three children: Clyde Evans of Ukiah, Cal.; Mrs. Louis (Lucille) Shaw, Black River Falls; Mrs. Robert (Betty) Free, Neillsville; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Pugh, Seattle, Wash.; and Mrs. Lottie Mills, Loyal; and a brother, James Asplin, Waunakee. 
 

Arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held June 19, for Mrs. Addie Evans, 59, who died June 17, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Shaw, in Black River Falls. The Rev. Virgil Holmes, Neillsville and Rev. Wayne Grover of Black River Falls officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Pallbearers were: Dr. Horace Frank, Henry Rahn, P. C. Ludovic, Edward Zank and Louis Slock.  Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. T. N. Thompson, sang, "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and "The Lord’s Prayer."
