Aumann, Mary Angeline (Marriage - 13 July 1957)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville was the scene of the 9:30 nuptials Saturday that united in marriage Miss Mary Angeline Aumann and Antone Langreck.  The Rev. J. Eisenmann performed the double ring ceremony before an altar banked with orchid and yellow majestic daisies.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Aumann, Sr., of Neillsville, was given in marriage by her father.  She approached the altar dressed in a floor-length Chantilly imported lace and tulle over slipper satin gown. The full bouffant skirt was fashioned with a lace peplum cascading down the back and fastened with a large tulle bow. The fitted bodice was designed with a Sabrina neckline trimmed with iridescent sequins.  The long, fitted sleeves buttoned at the wrists and came to a point over the hand.  Her fingertip veil of illusion edged in lace was fastened to a clip cap of lace and tulle pleating, trimmed with pearls and sequins.  She carried a white prayer book with a white orchid and stephanotis. Showers were entwined with stephanotis.

Miss Marilyn Hubing served as her maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Miss Judy Meyer and Miss Pat Tompkins.

Bestman for the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Langreck, Sr., of Rt. 3, Neillsville, was Walter Auman, Jr., brother of the bride.  Groomsmen were Francis Langreck, Jr., and Eugene Langreck, brothers of the groom.  Ushers were Charles Aumann, Robert Langreck and Marvin Aumann.

Music was furnished by the senior choir of St. Mary’s, accompanied by Mrs. Matt Gassen at the organ.

Following the ceremony a reception for approximately 180 guests was held at the American Legion Hall.  The hall and tables were decorated with lavender, green and yellow streamers and white wedding bells and baskets of flowers.

Following the reception the young couple left on a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Canada.  On their return they will reside at 206 Oak Street Neillsville.

The bride is a 1957 graduate of Neillsville High School and St. Mary’s school.  Her husband also is a graduate of St. Mary’s and operates a milk route.
