Zeebe, Echwadonne E. "Echo" (23 May 1936 - 7 February 2010)  
 

Echo Copeland Zeebe, 73, of Wisconsin Rapids died Sunday, Feb. 7, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.  
 

Funeral services will be held at 2:330 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville.  Visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of service.

Echo Copeland Zeebe, 73, of Wisconsin Rapids died Sunday, Feb. 7, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. 
 

Echwadonne E. Copeland was born May 23, 1936, in Babcock to George and Helen (Long) Copeland.  She was educated at Babcock and was employed as the first telephone operator in Babcock.  She moved to Illinois and was employed as a police dispatcher and then did factory work.  She later did home care.  She had resided in Wisconsin Rapids the past four years. 
 

Echo married Dale Rider in 1953 in Illinois; he preceded her in death in 1962.  In 1965 Echo married Edward Zeebe in Illinois; he preceded her in death in 1995. 
 

Echo is survived by four children, Leslie Dale Rider Zeebe of Sharon, Susan (Russell) Zeebe-Tews of Arpin, Julie Zeebe of Thorp and Anita Zeebe-Ostrowski of Stevens Point; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 
 

She is also survived by four siblings, Gale (Fae) Copeland of Janesville, Douglas (Nancy) Copeland of Delavan, Tanna (Gene) Beogolke of Alabama and Charles Copeland of Delavan. 
 

Echo was preceded in death by her two husbands; one son in infancy; one sister, Patricia Day; and one brother, James Copeland. 
 

Funeral services for Echo were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville with visitation from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.  Burial was in the Babcock Cemetery.  Echo’s grandsons served as pallbearers. 
 

Echo is now in God’s hands and at peace.
