Uhlman, Emma (7 April 1882 - 17 April 1958) 
 

Mrs. William (Emma) Uhlman, 76, of Neillsville, died April 17, 1958 at Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from St. John’s Lutheran Church. The Rev. Alfred Schewe officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Uhlman, daughter of the late Charles and Henretta (Koler) Buss, was born April 7, 1882, in Dodge County.  On June 1, 1903 she was married to William Uhlman in Dodge County. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Uhlman moved to Clark County in 1905 where they farmed until 1919, when they moved to Loyal.  In 1921 they purchased a farm in the Town of York, where they resided until 1944, when they moved to Neillsville.  They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1953. 
 

Mrs. Uhlman is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Calvin (Elnora) Mills, Owen; Mrs. Everett (Erline) Shaw, Neillsville.  Three sisters also survive. They are: Mrs. Louis (Ella) Wolter, Mrs. Art (Elizabeth) Wolter and Mrs. Otto (Alma) Groth, all of Oconomowoc. Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. 
 

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: Donald and Arlyn Mills, Ronald and Verlyn Shaw, Robert Gierl and Kenneth Eddy. 
 

Arlyn Mills, soloist, accompanied by Victor Lehman, sang "The Lord’s prayer" and What a Friend We have in Jesus." 
 

Out of town people here for the servicers were: Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Foster Will, Arlyn M. Mills, Owen; Harvey and Walter Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. George Kronberger, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mills, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gierl and family, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. William Seidelman, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Leland Bandelow and Nelva Bandelow, Menomonie; Mrs. Carl Storm, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. George Greeler, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Shaw, Marshfield; Milton Pagelsdorf, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Art Wolter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wolter, Mrs. Ella Wolter, Mrs. Otto Groth, Norma Finger, Mrs. Clara Schuett and Herbert Stumpf, Oconomowoc; Mrs. Charlotte Mills and Glen Mills, Loyal. 
 

The Georgas Funeral Home made funeral arrangements.
