At 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28, Miss Marie Arbelovsky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Arbelovsky of Spencer, became the bride of Otto Svoboda, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Svoboda of Berwyn, Ill., in a beautiful double ring candlelight service at the Warren Park Presbyterian church in Chicago.

The bride wore a gown with a satin bodice and sleeves and an embroidery net skirt with a train. She wore a fingertip veil, attached to a Juliet cap, and carried a large bouquet of white roses and an orchid. Her father, with whom she marched down the white carpeted aisle, gave her in marriage. She was attended by Miss Leone Kauffman, a former classmate, who was maid of honor, and Misses Frances and Ann Frola, bridesmaids. The maid of honor wore a pink gown of velvetized marquisette and carried a bouquet of aqua-dyed carnations. The bridesmaids wore aqua gowns of velvetized marquisette and carried bouquets of pink carnations. All three attendants wore rhinestone hearts on a chain, gifts of the bride. Marilyn Marecek, the flower girl, and Beverly Marecek, junior bridesmaid, were attired in pink velvetized marquisette.

The ushers were Edward Panacek and George Svoboda, the later a brother of the groom. The ring bearer, Frankie Frola, carried the rings to the altar on a large satin heart, with attached streamers.

The mothers of the bride and groom wore blue afternoon dresses, with corsages of red roses. The vocalist, Keith Smejkal, sang :I Love You Truly" and "Because." The reception was at the Koebals ballroom in Chicago, and approximately 500 guests were present.

The couple is motoring through Michigan and planning on visiting  friends in northern Wisconsin. The remainder of their three-week honeymoon will be spent at the farm of the bride’s parents. They will reside in Chicago.

The groom is employed at the U. S. Naval Ordinance plant in Forest Park, a suburb of Chicago. He served two years with the navy in the Philipines. The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school, with the class of 1944.
