Baumgart, Janice Marie (Marriage - 6 December 1958)

Miss Janice Marie Baumgart, Riplinger, and Neil Merle Neeb, Loyal, were united in marriage December 6, in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger.  The Rev. Paul Mall performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Hugh Seefeldt, Riplinger, and Theodore Baumgart, Colby; and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Neeb, Loyal.

A floor-length gown of white Chantilly lace and tulle over white satin, with long fitted sleeves and a round neckline trimmed with iridescent sequins and pearls, was worn by the bride.  A fingertip veil was attached to a headpiece, also trimmed with sequins and pearls.  A cascade bouquet of red roses and white carnations was carried by the bride.

The groom’s sister, Miss Joyce Neeb, Loyal, was maid-of-honor.  Mrs. Melvin Lindeau, Thorp, the bride’s sister, and Miss LaVaun Neeb, Dodge Center, Minn., another sister of the groom, attended as bridesmaids. Their identical gowns were copen-blue ruffled tulle, with Chantilly lace peplums at sides, and were floor length.  Bolero jackets were worn over the strapless gowns.  Their identical bouquets were of yellow chrysanthemums and white carnations.

Nadine Seefeldt, sister of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid and was attired exactly as the bride.

The groom and groomsmen were attired in midnight blue suits and each had a carnation in his lapel. Alvin Dahl, Granton, was bestman; Melvin Lindeau, Thorp, and Warner Halverson, Vesper, were groomsmen.  Ushers were Art Halverson, Medford, and Ralph Hattery, Jr., of Cedarburg.

Eugene Prien, Loyal, Accompanied by Mrs. Henry Kusel, Riplinger, on the organ sang, "O Promise Me" and "O Perfect Love."

A wedding reception and dinner were held in the church basement, at which approximately 150 attended.  At night a dance was held at Dorchester.

Mr. Neeb is a 1957 graduate of Loyal Public Schools and Mrs. Neeb attended Colby High School.  They are making their home in Loyal.
