In a double ring ceremony, Saturday afternoon, Miss Sylvia Ploeckelmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bejamin Ploeckelmann, of Dorchester, became the bride of Henry J. Bender, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bender, of Abbotsford.   
 

The Rev. J. Brandt performed the ceremony at 1:30 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester.   
 

Special music for the occasion was sung by the children’s choir.   
 

The bride wore a long sleeved gown of white chiffon with V-neckline, caught at the sides by a cluster of pearls. A head dress of pearls also held the clouds of veiling with its lace inserts in the train. She wore a gold locket, a gift of the groom, and carried a large bouquet of pink roses, white iris and dahlias, showered with white streamers to which roses were tied. 
 

Miss Bernice Ploeckelmann, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Mrs. Eldred Empey, the groom’s sister, Evenell and Mrs. Lawrence Denzine, his sister; Florence also attended the bride.   
 

Their gowns were all made alike. A shirred neckline, banded with rose buds, elbow length sleeves and tiny, self covered buttons down the back, fashioned the satin bodices from which hung the very full chiffon skirts worn over satin. They all wore gold necklaces matching shoulder length veils, caught by pearls and wrist corsages of mixed flowers. The maid of honor wore blue, Mrs. Empey wore yellow and Mrs. Denzine, pink.   
 

Melvin Bender was best man for his brother and Mr. Denzine and Mr. Empey, brothers-in-law were ushers. The color scheme of their suits ranged from camel to deep brown.
