Tucker, Kathleen (23 AUG 1947)

At a nuptial high mass read at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 23 in St Anthony’s Catholic church, Miss Kathleen Tucker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tucker of Loyal, became the bride of Clayton Englebretson, son of James Englebretson of Greenwood. The Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthefer was celebrant.

Miss Beverly Tucker of Wausau, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Jane Smith of Loyal was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Kenneth Weyhmiller and Jack Bertz, both of Loyal, as best man and groomsman, respectively.

The bride was gowned in white satin, styled with a net overskirt. Her fingertip veil was draped from a seed pearl crown. She carried a white prayerbook and a colonial bouquet of flesh-colored roses.

The maid of honor wore a peach colored satin gown, with a matching tiara and white gloves. She carried a nosegay bouquet of peach-colored gladiolas. The bridesmaid wore a blue taffeta with a net over skirt, a matching blue tiara, in her hair and white gloves.

After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served to the bridal party, and at 2 o’clock dinner was served to the immediate relatives and 50 guests at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school with the class of 1946 and has been employed at Colby’s super market for over a year. The groom also attended the Loyal high school and is a veteran of 14 months service in the navy. He is employed by the L. G. Arnold Construction Co.

To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its heartiest congratulations and best wishes for the future.
