Bloomfield, Angeline (15 SEPT 1923 - 28 SEPT 1947)

 

Mrs. George Bloomfield, 24, a lifelong resident of Loyal, died Sunday, Sept. 28, at St. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield of heart failure which followed complications of pregnancy. She had given birth to twins on Saturday morning.

 

Mrs. Bloomfield, the former Angeline Kozik, daughter of Mrs. Emma Kozik and Peter Kozik of Hemingford, Nebr., was born at Loyal on Sept. 15, 1923. She was married to George Bloomfield at Madison on Jan. 29, 1944.

 

Surviving Mrs. Bloomfield, besides her husband and parents, are three children, Sandra Lee, aged 2 ½, and the infant twins, John Charles and Joan Carol. Also surviving are seven sisters, Mrs. Mike (Mathilda) Haffenbredl and Mrs. Erhard (Ludmilla) Lindner of Loyal, Mrs. Elmer (Elsie) Dahne and Miss Viola Kozik of Co;by, Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Dwors of Cleveland, O., and Mrs. Alvin (Ella) Weigman and Miss Etta Kozik of Chicago, and one brother, Leon Kozik of Loyal.

 

Funeral rites were conducted at 2:30 p.m. last Wednesday at the Loyal Methodist church, with the Rev. Lee H. Holmes officiating. Interment was in the Loyal cemetery.

 

"Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Some Day We’ll Understand" were sung by Mrs. R. A. Prior, Mrs. Calvin Prior, R. B. Colby and J. R. Colby, with Mrs. A. H. Andersen as accompanist.

 

Those caring for the flowers were Wilma Ann Haffenbredl, Judith Haffenbredl, Jean Vogel, Joan Oestreich, Donna Mae Gotter and Helen Castner. The pallbearers were Allen Luber, Harold Kollmansberger, Walter Vogel, John Castner, Paul Gloudeman and Donald Cole.

 

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dahne and Miss Viola Kozik of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dwors of Cleveland, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Weigman and Miss Etta Kozik of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Fry of New Lisbon; Mr. and Mrs.  Freeman Van Wie of Eagle River; Mrs. Charles Snow and Mrs. Olive Clemmens of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Snow and Mr. and Mrs. Omar Fry of Necedah; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh O’Donell of Arkdale; Mr. and Mrs. Byron Bloomfield and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Morse of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. William Bloomfield and Harold Bloomfield of Strongs Prairie; Mr. and Mrs. Dell Chamberlain, Mrs. George Cummongs and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cummings of Bancroft; Mrs. Lettie Walker and Mrs. Finnis Nelson of Handcock, and Mrs. Theodore Long and family of Wild Rose.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister.
