Dedolph, Josephine (11 OCT 1947)

Dr. and Mrs. Karl Dedolph of St. Paul announce the marriage of their daughter, Josephine Read, to Dr. Eldon Fred Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hill of Loyal.

The ceremony was performed at 5 o’clock Saturday, Oct. 11, in the chapel of St. Paul’s Church on the Hill, the Rev. C. E. Hapkin officiating. The bride was attended by Mrs. Oscar Cyr. The best man was the bride’s brother, Carter Dedolph.

Mrs. Hill was graduated from the University of Minnesota school of nursing and was affiliated with Alpha Phi sorority. Dr. Hill was graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy and also with the degree of Doctor of Medicine. He was affiliated with Eta chapter of Rho Chi society.

The chapel altar was decorated with white pompoms. Palms and cybatium ferns flanked the sides and Smilax-trimmed candelabra completed the setting for the double-ring ceremony. Members of the two families and close friends were present.

The bride wore a tailored tweed suit of small gray and green checks, a green velveteen hat, brown reptile pumps, and a corsage of baby gardenias. Mrs, Cyr, as matron of honor, was attired in a black gabardine suit. Her corsage was of gardenias.

The bride’s mother wore a light beige gabardine dress, flowered hat, and a corsage of garnet rosebuds. The groom’s mother wore a dark green suit with black accessories and a corsage of garnet rosebuds.

F. W. Draper of Greensboro, N. C., flew to St. Paul for the wedding and was a guest at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Dedolph, as were also the groom’s parents.

Immediately after the service, dinner was served in the bride’s home and, before the newly married couple departed friends arrived to bid them goodbye and to spend the evening with their parents.

After a short trip to northern Wisconsin, Dr. and Mrs. Hill will be at home at 129 West College avenue, St. Paul. Both are employed at the Charles T. Miller hospital in that city.

To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
