Mrs Bechel moved into town last week.
Dr. Nielsen took the morning train Tuesday for Curtiss, returning on the noon train.
Chris Pedersen was arrested last saturday for threatening to take his sister’s life.
A basket party and dance was given at Dana hall Friday evening by the Danish people.
Mat Ripplinger of Cadott and Ina Palms of Greenwood were seen in town last Monday evening.
Two tramps came to Marshal Brown and asked for a place to sleep Sunday night. They were promptly locked up.
A telegram was received last Sunday from Minneapolis, stating that Chris. Hansen, a young man from Withee, had died in the hospital there. His body was brought here for burial Tuesday.
A masquerade was held at Dana hall last Saturday night.
Anton Kristiansen of Greenwood was in town last Tuesday.
The M.W.A. have bills out for a masquerade ball next Saturday night.
The basket party given by the I.O.G.T. last week was a grand success.
Mrs. T. Douphner, who has been sick the last three or four months, is now able to be up.
Maurice Anderson, who has been clerking in F.W. Nielsen’s hardware store for the past year or two, left Saturday for Chicago where he will spend a week’s vacation.
The Wisconsin Central Co. is having a well put down near the depot. It is to be twenty feet in diameter and eighty feet deep. When it is finished there will be water enough so that the limited trains can take water here in the night which means that limited trains will stop here. Pretty good for Withee.
