Stark, Herman H. (20 DEC 1881 - 7 SEP 1956)

 

Herman H. Stark, 75, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 1956, at Rocky Knoll Sanatorium, Plymouth, Wis.  His death was attributed to complications of old age.

 

Funeral services were held at two o’clock Monday afternoon from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen.  The Rev. Ralph Claybaugh pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiated at the final rites with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.

 

Serving as pallbearers were Don Melbinger, Bobbie Stark, Jerry Stark, Richard Stark, John Hemminger and Morris Martin.  In charge of the floral offerings were Joyce Haynes, Lorna Stark Margaret Stark and Zora Stark.

 

The deceased was born Dec. 20, 1881, at Rock Island, Ill.  On May 29, 1907, he was united in marriage to Anna Pankow in a ceremony performed at Rock Island, Ill.  Two years later the couple moved to a farm north of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), where he lived until his health forced him to retire in 1954.  Since that time he had been making his home with his son, Lewis and family on route 3, Kewaskum, Wis.

 

He is survived by a son Lewis, two daughters, Mrs. Arleigh (Martha) Melbinger, Berwyn, Ill., and Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Cavaleri of Waukesha, Wis., and 12 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife in 1941, a son, Herman, passed away in 1947 and another son, Allen, in 1955.
