Kunkel, Fred (1889 - 16 DEC 1956)

 

Fred Kunkel passed away at his farm home in the town of Holway (Taylor Co., Wis.) on Dec. 16, 1956, at 7:45 p.m. after a lingering illness.  He was born in Chicago and served in World War I.  He was married to Louis Lapinske on Sept. 14, 1921 at Withee.  He is survived by his wife, Louise, a daughter, Doris (Mrs. Joe Felecian) of Owen R.R. and one sister, Mrs. George Taube, Wildwood, Ill.

 

Services were conducted on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Withee by Rev. T. C. Predoehl.  Military services were conducted at the cemetery by the Legion and V.F. W. Posts.  Pallbearers were: Honorary, David Mayo, Oscar Neibocker, George Hanem, Robert Scheseneman, Joe Kowalewski and Herb Thompson, Frank Osalkowski; regular, Arlie Thompson, Richard Guerra, Harold Schopfer, Ray Purgett, George Traiber, Leander Blona.
