Carl Braman went home to Humbird Monday for a visit with his parents and friends.
Conductor Richmond is laying off this week, Clif Minnis of Fond du Lac taking his place.
P.E. Peterson of Greenwood transacted business in this city Tuesday -- Medford Democrat.
Addie Ketchpaw went to Eau Claire Tuesday morning for a visit with friends for a few days.
Manley Austin is home from near Athens where he has been running a camp for the Upham company of Marshfield.
Susie Stanton who has been visiting during the past winter with relatives here, left for her home at Mondovi.
Claude Carter and Henry Mattice have formed a partnership for this coming season to do painting, etc. Their ad appears elsewhere in the Gleaner.
E.T. Hale of Elroy, an experienced printer and newspaperman, is helping in the Gleaner office for a few weeks while the editor is looking after outside interests.
George Meacham, who for some time ran the Loyal Chronicle, has been appointed postmaster of Tigerton, where he went after a short sojourn in Edgar, Marathon county.
A.D. Quinn and family arrived Thursday from Perkinstown and have settled in the upstairs of the shoe factory building. He will work for Grashorn & Falk in the creamery.
