McCarty, Jessie (12 SEP 1902 - DEC 1956)

Jessie McCarty was born Sept. 12, 1902 in Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.).  he attended grade school in Longwood and graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1920.  Hel helped his father on the farm in Longwood until 1937, when he entered the employ of the R.E.A.

In 1939 he was united in marriage to Myrtha Wilson at Osceola, Wis.  To this union one son, Michael, was born.

In 1914 he was an engineer in the Research Department of the R.E. A. in the Metanuslia Valley, Palmer, Alaska.  Upon his return to the states he worked for the United States Army engineers and after 1944, he was employed by a private contractor and the family moved to St. Louis, Mo. In 1949.  He worked here until July 1955 when he became ill.

He was a member of the Normandy Methodist Church there and its Men’s… (the rest of my copy was cut off)
