One of the pioneer residents of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), Anna M. Hansen, a woman who came here and worked her way from the hardships of the day long toiling of the soil to the final relaxation of retiring in the city of Owen, passed away on the 17th of November, 1957.

Hansen in a marriage ceremony performed at Racine, Wis.  For six years the couple resided at Rock Rapids, Iowa, and then in 1898 moved to Owen.  In 1917 they settled on a farm in the Town of Hoard where they farmed successfully until 1945 when they retired and moved to the city of Owen.

Mr. Hansen passed away May 22 of this year, having attained the age of 92 years.  Mrs. Hansen’s death is mourned by two daughters, Mrs. Sena Youmans and Mrs. Lyle Haas, Owen; and one son, James Hansen Jr. of Minneapolis; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
