Wells, Marcia L. (3 JUN 1967)

On Saturday, June 3, 1967, the former Marcia Lynn Wells, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wells, route 1, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father, to William Lee Horn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Horn, route 2, Loyal.

The Very Rev. Norbert E. King officiated at the 1 p.m. nuptial service in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, with the church choir singing for the occasion.

The bride was seen in a floor length gown of angel mist taffeta and Chantilly lace, and a bouffant veil billowing from a taffeta petalled headpiece.  Her flowers were a cascade of pink roses and white carnations entwined with ivy.

Mrs. Mike Well, Marshfield, the matron of honor, and Mrs. Robert Schmidt, Loyal, and Miss Janet Langreck, Greenwood, the bridesmaids, were attired in floor length gowns of lavender organza over taffeta and Venice lace.  Their small veils were attached to floral headpieces, and each aide held a colonial bouquet of white carnations edged in orchid and completed with ribbon streamers.

Mike Wells, Marshfield, served as best man.  Groomsmen were Robert and Eugene Schmidt, both of Loyal, and ushers were Bernard Friske and Dale Schmidt.

The wedding reception was held at K Corners, with the dinner being served at the church hall at 4:30 p.m., and the dance taking place at Silver Dome Ballroom near Neillsville.

The bride attended Greenwood High school and the groom Loyal High School.  She has been employed in Marshfield by Weinbrenner Shoe Co. and her husband is engaged in farming on route 2, Loyal, where the couple will reside.
