Fravert, Orlin A. #2 (23 AUG 1925 - 22 AUG 1966)

 

Orlin August Fravert, son of Otto and Alma (Franz) Fravert, was born Aug. 23, 1925 on the Fravert Homestead in the town of Warner (Clark Co., Wis.).  He was baptized, confirmed and married in the Immanuel United Church of Christ.

 

He graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1943.

 

He was united in marriage to Elvera Reineking on June 4, 1949.  To this union were born three children, Margaret, Mark and Marilyn.

 

He was a member of the Immanuel Church and at present was president of the church council and also served as Secretary and Treasurer.  He also was serving on the pulpit committee.

 

He was also a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge No. 249 F. & A.M.

 

He passed away Monday, Aug. 22nd, 1966, the day before his 41st birthday.

 

He is survived by his wife Elvera, his three children, Margaret, Mark and Marilyn, all at home; two brothers, LeRoy and Allen, both of Greenwood.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1953 and his father in 1959.

 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ.  The Rev. Charles Koch of New Holstein and Rev. Jacob Grether of Neillsville officiated.

 

Interment was in the Church Cemetery.

 

During the services the church choir, accompanied by Mrs. Walter Schwarze, sang "Jesus Is Calling" and "Evening Prayer."  Other music was rendered at the organ by Ronald Meinhardt.

 

The pallbearers were: Ervin Toburen, Bernard Novobielski, Elmer Humke, Eldore Humke, John Bizjak and Norman Liebzeit.
