Yde, June  (06 June 1948)

A reception was given last Thursday evening at the Loyal Methodist church by Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Anderson for their son and his bride, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Anderson, who had just returned from a wedding trip to Banff and Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada.

The former June Lillian Yde, the daughter Mr. and Mrs. Jense O. Yde of Roy, Mont., and Mr. Anderson were united in marriage Sunday, June 6. Archdeacon Norman Foote of Lewiston, Mont., read the double ring ceremony in St James Episcopal church there.

A wedding dinner was served to 16 guests at the Fergus hotel in Lewiston. Following the reception here on Thursday evening, a wedding dance was given at the Silver Dome, near Neillsville.

White marquisette fashioned the wedding gown worn by Mrs. Anderson, who was given in marriage by her brother, Gene A. Yde. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white roses.

The maid of honor, Miss Elizabeth Warren, of Vancouver, Wash., was dressed in a blue marquisette formal. Her flowers were yellow roses.

The bride’s cousin, Garth Luchterhand of Loyal, served as best man.

Mr. Anderson is a graduate of the Loyal high school, with the class of 1927, and a veteran of 3 ½ years with the army as a communications sergeant with the Fifth Infantry Division. He recently accepted a position with the Universal Engineering Co. of Medford.

His bride, a graduate of St. Cloud (Minn.) Teachers college, has been employed as educational instructor in the Veterans hospital at Fort Harrison, Mont., for the past year and a half.

The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
