O & N Lumber Co. (25 July 1929)

The O & N Lumber Co. has made extensive changes at their lumber yard in preparation for handling coal.  One of the lumber sheds has been changed over into coal sheds and they make very fine storage shed for that purpose, being dry and well protected.  The new sheds have room for eight cars of coal.  Coal will be unloaded from the car by electrically driven conveyors and again loaded for delivery by the same machinery.  When the sheds and equipment are all ready the coal yard at the O & N will be modern and up-to-date in every way.

Above is a sign we found laying face down on the inner ceiling of a barn  we are taking down.  It is very well preserved.  We live in the Lindsey (Wood Co., Wis) area and just thought you would be interested. If you have any further info we would appreciate it.  Kim Sadauskas.
