Duell, Frank A. (11 AUG 1893 - 4 SEP 1950)

 

Funeral rites for Frank A. Duell, 57, of route one were held at 2 p.m. last Thursday at the Loyal Methodist Church.  The Rev. Lee H. Holmes officiated, and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

 

Mr. Duell, who died of a heart attack at his home on Monday morning, Sept. 4, 1950, was born at Christie on Aug. 11, 1893.  He was married to Anna Flaherty at Neillsville, and they have lived on a farm in the town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.) for the past 27 years.

 

He is survived by his wife and four children, Kenneth of Perkinstown, Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Smith and Mrs. Elmer (Verle) Speich of Greenwood, and Merlin, at home.  Also surviving are a brother, George Duell of Thorp, and two sisters, Mrs. Louis heck of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Victor Lindberg of Ashland.  One son, a sister and brother preceded him in death.

 

Mrs. Calvin Prior and Mrs. G. W. Nelson sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Face to Face" at the funeral services.  They were accompanied by Miss Donna Mae Gotter.

 

Pallbearers were George Otto, Alex Mrotek, August Luber, Frank Kline, Edd Dobbe and Ed Bertz.  In charge of flower arrangements were Mrs. Herman Litka, Mrs. August Luber, Mrs. George Otto, Mrs. Edd Dobbe, Mrs. Ed Bertz and Mrs. Alex Mrotek.

 

Relatives from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lindberg and sons of Ashland, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nelson of Park Falls, Mrs. Douglas Hargrave of Merrill, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Heck of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. George Duell and son of Thorp, Mrs. Katherine Beaver, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beaver and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe beaver and son, and Mrs. James Owens, all of Eau Claire, Vince Flaherty, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Andrle and Diane Kohring of Perkinstown, and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Speich and daughter of Greenwood.
