Hewett Township (18 Sept 1913)
Mrs. Will Lowell and two boys, who spent the past week with Mrs. Lon Cook, returned to her home in Loyal Wednesday.
Ed Payson and Joel Sayles are home from Montana.
Miss Tena Smalley commenced her school here last Monday with a good attendance.
Will Ritchie has his silo up. Lon Cook will fill it this week.
Mrs. Walter Amidon and Mrs. Lon Cook spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Dave Wood and Nancy.
Leo Brown and his cousins and Will Ritchie spent Monday evening at Lon Cook’s.
Mrs. H. Parker called on Mrs. L. Cook one day last week.
San Bruni, Harry Moffatt, and Bennie Hart were callers at Lon Cook’s Monday evening.
Mrs. Jake Laager called to Mrs. Will Cook Sunday.
Leo. Brown sold his team to Charley Currier.
Mrs. Dave Wood and daughter, Nancy, and Geo. Hart and wife called on Mesdames Lon and Will Cook last Thursday.
Mrs. Brown and family expect to go back to Maquoketa, Iowa, the last of the week where they expect to make their future home.
Mrs. Ed. Haskins went to Neillsville Monday to meet her brother, who expects to buy land here and move his family here soon.
Johnnie Solberger and wife of Hatfield are here for a couple of days visit with his parents, Fred Benlow and wife.
Bennie Hart went to Altoona Tuesday.
Jesse Metcalf of Altoona and a couple of friends spent a few days with his parents last week.
