Dubiak, Mary Josephine (15 February 1912 - 3 September 2010)

 

Mary J. Dubiak, age 98, of Gilman (formerly of Lublin) passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010, at the Gilman Care Center in Gilman.

 

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thorp Funeral Home in Thorp. Rev. Marion Talaga officiated and burial followed in St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Cemetery in Lublin.  Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral Home, on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

 

Mary Josephine Ogorzalek was born on February 15, 1912, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Katherine (Gawron) Ogorzalek.  As a young child, Mary’s family moved to Lublin, WI, where she received her education at Wildwood School.  Mary later returned to Chicago and worked at Bell & Howell for a number of years. She then moved back to the family farm, where she enjoyed raising chickens and turkeys until her retirement. After her retirement, she moved into Lublin where she resided until entering the Gilman Care Center in August 2005.

 

She is survived by one brother, John (Ellen) Ogorzalek of Lublin and one sister, Blanche Bonczkiewicz of Stanley; many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Andrew and one sister, Leona.
