Lindberg, John (20 June 1886 - 19 Feb. 1960)
John Lindberg, 73, died of complications at his home Friday night. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Presbyterian church where the Rev. Lawrence E. Faivre officiated, and at the internment made in the Abbotsford cemetery. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Pallbearers were Gerhardt Anderson, Harry Emling, Kenneth Kohl, John Mueller, Robert Mueller and Axel Peterson.
Mr. Lindberg was born in the Town of Hull, June 20, 1886, and attended the Abbotsford schools. He lived in Abbotsford the past 40 years and for many years was employed by the Abbotsford Hardware Store.
On May 1, 1923, he was married to the former Esther Stewart, who survives him.
Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Walter (Doris) Wolfe, Aniwa; Mrs. Bruce (Sandra) Faudel, Round Lake, Ill.; Mrs. Darrell (Ruby) Sossaman, and Mrs. Eugene (Phyllis) Leu, Abbotsford; Lenore Lindberg, at home; four sons, John D., Jr., Abbotsford; Wayne and Darrel, at home; and Robert with the Navy in New York; 15 grand children, two brothers, Otto, Abbotsford, and Carl, Linwood, Calif.
A daughter, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
All of the children were here for the funeral, except Robert, who arrived Wednesday night.
