Now on a honeymoon in southern Wisconsin and in the Black Hills are the new Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Gleichsner, Jr., who were married on Memorial Day in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.

Officiating at the rites for the former Miss Mary Ann Rueth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Rueth, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gleichsner, Marshfield, route 3, was the Rev. Norbert King.

The bride, attired in a white bridal gown, carried a bouquet of Easter lilies interspersed with carnations.

Miss Janie Rueth, sister of the bride, chose an orchid colored organdy frock for her role as maid of honor.  Bridesmaids included Misses Kathleen O’Brien, Loyal, and Bernice Smazal, Marshfield, in yellow and aqua, respectively.  They all had matching bouquets of Easter lilies and carnations.

The groom chose his brother, John Gleichsner, Camp McCoy, for best man, while the bride’s two brothers, Herbert and Patrick Rueth, were groomsmen.  Robert Langfeldt, Loyal, a cousin of the bride, and Leo Dishinger, Marshfield, escorted the guests to their seats in church.

Carrying a bouquet like the bride’s and dressed in a yellow ninon over taffeta satin frock, was her little cousin, Sally Miller, Loyal, who was flower girl.  Jimmy Rueth, Wis. Rapids, a nephew of the bride, carried the rings.

More than 125 friends and relatives were dinner and supper guests in St. Anthony’s Hall, and the home of the bride’s parents was the scene of the reception.

The new Mrs. Gleichsner, who attended St. Anthony’s Parochial School, has been employed for the past two and one-half years at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  Her husband, a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School and a veteran of 18 months service in the U.S. Army, 6 months of which was in Korea, is an employee of Fred Schreiner and Son, Marshfield.

The newlyweds will reside near Loyal.
