Windom, Ole Peter (2 May 1887 - 28 April 1959)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church for Ole Peter Windom, 72, of Greenwood, who died of a heart ailment Tuesday evening at his home. The Rev. Ira J. Tanner officiated and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Otto Kind, Otto Voie, Godfrey Dyre, Fred Limprecht, Clarence Markee and George Speich.

 

Mr. Windom was born May 2, 1887, at North Bend.  He came to Greenwood with his parents from South Dakota about 35 years ago.  He was engaged in farming until three and one-half years ago, when he retired and moved to the city of Greenwood.  He never married.

 

He is survived by four sisters, Nelda and Helen Windom at home; Mrs. Ivan (Mary) Henninger of Holcombe; Mrs. Hans C. (Tena) Windom of Elbow Lake, Minn.; and six brothers, Theodore, Hans, Oliver, Lendo, Elmer and Otto, all at home.  A nephew and three nieces also survive.
