Konieczny, Sophie #2 (14 DEC 1893 - 31 JAN 1956)


Mrs. Sophie Konieczny passed away at the Mount Washington Sanatorium at Eau Claire, Wis., on Tuesday, Jan. 31st, 1956 after a lingering illness.


Sophie Haider was born in Poland on Dec. 14, 1893, and had reached the age of 62 years, 1 month and 17 days.


She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Haider and came to America with her parents in 1896.  She resided for 18 years in New Jersey and three years in Minneapolis before coming to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1917, and locating on a farm with her husband, Frank Konieczny to whom she was united in marriage on Sept. 15, 1914 at Minneapolis.


Besides her husband she is survived by four sons, Thomas of Menasha, Wis., Frank Jr. of Thorp, Stanley of Hortonville, Wis., and George of Milwaukee; two daughters, Margaret, Mrs. Fred Rohland, and Agnes, Mrs. Otto Rohland of Withee, Wis.; one brother, Frank Haider of Minneapolis and one sister, Agnes, Mrs. Stanley Ormat of Wayzata, Minn.


Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. J. Plaszewski at St. Mary’s Church at Lublin at ten o’clock Friday morning, Feb. 3, interment following in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Thomas, Frank, Stanley and George Konieczny, and Fred and Otto Rohland.
