Hardy, George (26 November 1898 - 9 July 1959)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for George Hardy, 61, of Neillsville, who died July 9 following a stroke. The Rev. Virgil Holmes pastor of the Methodist Church officiated at services in the Bergemann Funeral Home.

 

A long-time Neillsville resident, he was born November 26, 1898, in Bohemia.  He came to this country as a small boy and attended school near Neillsville, later attending Neillsville High School.  He worked for several years in Chicago, coming back to Neillsville, where he worked until his health failed.

 

He is survived by a brother, Charles Hardy of Oshkosh, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Cram of Neillsville.

 

Pallbearers were: Jas. A. Musil, Kenneth Van Gorden, Fred Wall, Joe Cardarelle, Walter Wucki and Frank Dobes.

 

Out of town people here for the services were Charles Hardy, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cram, Oshkosh; and Mr. and Mrs. Milan Bartz, Franksville.
