Hewett Twp. (23 July 1959)

 

Julius Martens, who had been employed several weeks at Brainerd, Minn., spent last weekend with is family.  He left Monday for Minneapolis.

 

Jack Forester of Chicago spent last week with his mother, Mrs. Julius Martens.

 

Mrs. Julius Martens returned last weekend from Chicago, where she spent 10 days on a business trip and visiting relatives.  Her niece, Lee Ann Klepek of Chicago, returned with her for a visit.  Mrs. Frank Greenwich and three children also are visiting Mr. And Mrs. Martens.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Collier of Woodstock, Ill., visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy Collier and at the John Putz home last weekend.

 

Mrs. Mary Fox, former resident of Columbia and now of Elgin, Ill., visited Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger last weekend.  Mrs. Fox brought her son, Leo, who had been injured in a car accident several weeks ago to a clinic in Black River Falls for treatments.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Byron Hughes and children of Chicago visited Mr. and Mrs. George Poertner last weekend.  They went north on a fishing trip and took Ronnie Poertner with them.
