Lewandowski, Constance L. (28 JUL 1956)

St. Hedwig’s Church was the scene July 28, 1956 of a 10:00 a.m. Nuptial Mass that united Miss Constance Louise Lewandowski, daughter of Mrs. Susan Lewandowski, and Andrew Sweetana Jr. of Allentown, Pa.  Rev. Father F. Piekarski officiated at the mass.

The bride was attired in a bouffant nylon tulle gown and Chantilly lace inserts.  The bodice of lace formed a mandarin collar.  The cathedral train was fashioned of slipper satin.

Her imported illusion veil was attached to a pearl crested half hat.  Sprays of stephanotis surrounded the single white orchid in the bride’s bouquet.

Vernon Lewandowski, brother of the bride, gave her hand in marriage.

Miss Margaret Ann Lewandowski and Stanley Sweetana, the groom’s brother, were the bridal pair’s first couple.

The maid of honor was gowned in a pale blue crystalette formal.  The fitted bodice was completed with a tiny tea jacket.

Bridesmaid, Miss Marie Janenko of Allentown, Pa., wore a pale pink gown identical to that worn by the maid of honor.  Robert Lewandowski was her escort.

Little Kathleen and Dennis Sopiarz completed the wedding party.  Kathy’s gown consisted of white crystalette with rows of ruffles.  Her little basket of flowers was filled with tiny tea roses.

Open house was held at the home of the bride, with a dance at the Legion Hall in the evening.

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, the newlyweds left for Pittsburgh, Pa.  The groom, a recent graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, will be employed at Westinghouse Corp. of that city.

The bride has been employed for several years by Frank Kirtpatrick of Milwaukee.  Mr. Kirtpatrick is a news commentator on WTMJ and is active in the civic and political fields in Milwaukee.

Guests attended from Allentown, Pa., Chicago, Ill., Milwaukee, Eureka, Calif., Beaver Dam, Marshfield, Wis. Rapids and Stanley, Wis.
