Quelle, Patricia #2 (29 SEP 1956)

At St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Withee, the wedding of Miss Patricia Quelle and Otto Kind, Jr. of Greenwood, took place on Saturday, Sept. 29, 1956, at 2 o’clock p.m.  The parents of the young couple are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Quelle, and Mrs. And Mrs. Otto Kind Sr. of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).

The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. T. Pedokl before an assemblage of about 100 friends and relatives.

Mrs. W. Wirtala played the wedding march and accompanied Mrs. Ted Klabon as she sang "Oh Perfect Love."

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length gown fashioned with a nylon lace bodice and long sleeves.  The full skirt was of part nylon lace projecting to points and net over satin.  Her fingertip veil was secured by a pearl beaded tiara and she carried red roses and white mums in a cascade bouquet.

Miss Penny Lee Rasmussen of Marshfield, a niece of the groom, attended as maid of honor and Sharon Johnson of Curtiss, a cousin of the groom, and Patricia Jane Quelle of Marshfield, a sister-in-law of the bride, as bridesmaids.  They all wore ballerina dresses of Copen blue crystalette with a net overskirt with tiny net ruffles and jackets of crystalette.  Their matching headpieces were accented with tiny flowers and rhinestones and they wore  a necklace with matching earrings, the gifts from the bride.  Yellow gladioli set in white mums made up their bouquets.

Serving the groom as his best man was Gerald Quelle, a brother of the bride, and also attending were Roy Quelle of Greenwood and Alvin Quelle of Marshfield, brothers of the bride.  Orlando Kind of Greenwood, brother of the groom, and Raymond Rasmussen, brother-in-law of the groom, ushered.

The mother of the bride chose a navy blue acetate crepe dress with white accessories to wear at her daughter’s wedding, and the mother of the groom also wore a navy blue acetate dress with red accessories.  Their corsages were of white gladioli and ferns.

The reception as held at the home of the bride’s parents, which was tastefully decorated in blue and white on this occasion.  A 5:30 dinner was also served there to guests numbering about sixty.  The wedding dance was at Merry Ol’ Gardens, near Longwood.

The newlyweds left shortly on a trip through northern Wisconsin.

The bride attended Owen-Withee High School and the groom the Greenwood High School, and is now employed in trucking.

Out of town relatives attending were from Marshfield, Curtiss, Thorp, Withee, and Milwaukee.
