Twarowski, John (5 DEC 1869 - 25 OCT 1956)
John Twarowski, retired family and resident of Stanley, died at the Potvin Rest Home in Stanley Friday morning.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Church in Stanley with the Rev. R. J. Geissler officiating.
The deceased was born in Poland Dec. 5, 1869 and married Francis Nicoski in Poland before coming to the United States 50 years ago.
He was employed at the tannery in Stanley and later operated a farm in that area. The family recently moved to town.
His first wife died in 1919 and in 1923 he married Josephine Sczypiorski at Stanley. His second wife died in 1953.
Among the survivors are one son, Frank of Long View, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. George (Kathryn) Sczypiorski of Stanley, and Mrs. John (Mary) Jaromalek of Gilman.
Also surviving are two step-children, Ben of Owen and Mrs. Jerry Carbone of Chicago.

Funeral servcies for Walter J. Twardowski, 57, of Abbotsford, who died Sept. 24,
1963 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient since
Aug. 13, were held Saturday morning at Chicago at St. Salomea Church. Burial was
made in Holy Corss Cemetery, Chicago.
Walter J. Twardowski was born March 4, 1906 in Chicago. He was a former mail
carrier. Following his retirement he made his home with his son, Gene, and
family. They came to Abbotsford in 1962.
Surviving him, besides his son, is one daughter, Mrs. Elenaore Leu of Gilman..
There are seven grandchildren.
He also has one brother, Eugene Twardowski, in California, and two sisters, Mrs.
Irene Kubicki of Plymouth, Ind., and Mrs. Martha Pycz of Chicago.
Preceding him in death were his wife, the former Sophie Garcyznski, his parents,
Casmir and Mary Twardowski, and one sister, Helen Scha (?).
Relatives attending the funeral from this vicinity were Mr. and Mrs. Gene
Twardowski and two children of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Leu of Gilman
and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tyznik of Thorp.

Miss Loretta Lou Twarowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Twarowski of 608 Center St., Chicago, and William Nole, son of Dominick Nole, 5904 Clark St., Chicago, were united in marriage at St. Hedwig’s Church in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on Saturday morning, July 12th, 1952. The Rev. Piekarski performed the double ring ceremony at ten o’clock before a group of relatives and friends.

Miss Martha Twarowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Twarowski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), was married to Mr. Bruno Armades, son of Mrs. Agnes Armades of Chicago at the Church of Our Lady of Grace on Saturday, May 11, 1940, at 9 a.m., in Chicago.
The bride was dressed in a beautiful white satin gone with the wind gown and carried a gorgeous bouquet of contrasting Calla lilies.
The bridesmaids, Miss Adele Depukat and Miss Ann Urban of Chicago, also wore gone with the wind gowns, of beautiful azure blue satin with yellow accessories, carrying sprays of yellow tea roses. Their headdresses consisted of a cluster of yellow gladiolas. The ushers were Mr. Louis Twarowski and Mr. Edward Charytanowicz, of Chicago.
A reception was held at Kula’s Hall in Chicago.
After the reception the bride and the groom left for Florida on their honeymoon. They will make their home in Chicago.

Miss Valeria Twarowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Twarowski, became the bride of Emil Kodl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kodl Sr., in a ceremony performed at 10:15 a.m. by Rev. F. Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church on April 26, 1947.
The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of lace and net over satin with a long train and veil caught to a tiara of beads and trimmed with lace. She wore a locket, the groom’s gift. Her bouquet was of white roses and gardenia tied with a satin bow. She place a bouquet of white flowers on the Virgin altar during the ceremony.
The couple was attended by Casimer Twarowski as best man and Frances Siegienski as first bridesmaid, and wore yellow chiffon. Other attending couples were Jerry Kodl and Mary Twarowski, and John and Wanda Hendriks. Miss Twarowski was dressed in aqua chiffon marquisette and Mrs. Hendriks in pale blue chiffon. The bridesmaids all wore gold crosses, gifts of the bride, and carried bouquets of shaded pink carnations trimmed with bows. All wore white headbands and blushers.
Matron of honor was Mary Kodl, who wore pink chiffon. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos, he a gardenia and they carnation boutonnieres.
The bride and groom’s mothers were dressed in navy blue with corsages of white carnations tied in white.
A white rug led the way for the contracting couple to the altar which was beautifully decorated with mixed flowers.
The reception was held at the P.N.A. Hall throughout the day and evening with music by the Nightingales.
The happy couple will reside on a farm near Thorp.
Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. John Twarowski of Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. John Jarnolek of Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Twarowski of Bellinger, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Wojcik of Medford.
