Miss Betty Yvonne Boardman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett K. Boardman of Sheldon, Wis., became the bride of Mr. Leon Morgan, son of Jos. Morgan of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a ceremony performed by Father Connie Chilicki at 9:00 o’clock, Tuesday, Oct. 27th, 1956 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church Chapel here in the presence of numerous relatives and friends.

The couple was attended by Julius Morgan, brother of the groom, of Augusta, as best man, and Miss Ruth Slota, the groom’s cousin, as maid of honor.  John and Vern Overman, uncle and cousin of the bride, served as ushers.

The bride was attired in a grey suit, and wore a white hat and corsage of red roses.  Her attendant wore a suit of light grey and a pink rose corsage.

A wedding dinner and reception were given by the bride’s parents at the Moose Club Hall where festivities continued throughout the day.

The bride attended the Stanley High School and has been employed in Thorp at the Thorp Dairy Bar as waitress.  The groom is a graduate of Thorp High School and operates the Phillips "66" Gas Service Station in west Thorp.
