Mrs. Emma Chubb visited Sunday with the Roman Vernig family in Bakerville.
Christmas dinner guests of Mrs. Elsie Nowack were Mr. and Mrs. Allen Reisner and son, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reisner and two sons of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hurtis and family of Marathon. The Hurtis family remained for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. paul Spaete and son of Sturgeon Bay, former Granton residents, who visited relatives in this area during Christmas, were Sunday supper guests of Mrs. Elsie Nowack.
Mrs. Elsie Nowack was hostess Tuesday afternoon to a group of friends who gathered to visit with Mrs. Paul Spaete.
Mr. and Mrs. Roland Quicker returned home Sunday evening after spending the weekend with the Jerry Opelt family in Hibbing, Minn.
Mrs. Charles Guk, who spent the last two weeks with her daughters, Mrs. Adelaide Norris and Mrs. Gertrude Gregory, in Milwaukee, returned home Sunday by train. She was met in Merrillan by her son-in-law, Victory Schlinkert, and his daughters. Mrs. Guk was a Sunday overnight guest of her daughter, Mrs. Schlinkert and family in Glove, and on Monday the Schlinkerts took her home.
Mr. and Mrs. George Gannon and family of Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Garbisch of La Crosse spent Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Garbisch. Duane and wife remained for the weekend. Mrs. Kearney Davis also was a guest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Garbisch.
Mr. and Mrs. Schmidtke and Mrs. Mabel Austin were Sunday visitors at the R. K. Stevens home in Loyal.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry O’Mealy and son and girl friends of Springfield, Mo., visited during the holidays with his mother, Mrs. Josie O’Mealy, and with Horace Hack and daughter.
Mrs. Florence Fox, Marshfield, was a weekend guest of her sister, Miss Ora Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schuelke were Christmas day guests of their granddaughter, Mrs. Donald Bartsch. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Garbisch and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Garbisch, Mrs. Clara Krause, and son, all of the Granton area; and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Hagen of Globe.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Mott and family and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Garbisch were Christmas guests of their sister and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Hinkelmann and family, in Neillsville.
Miss Elaine Trimberger and her brother, Dale, of St. Paul, Minn., are spending the vacation with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Trimberger.
Mrs. Pete Buddinger of Loyal is spending several days with her daughter, Mrs. Hugo Trimberger and family.
Richard Hillert, Jr., of River Forest, Ill., is spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hillert, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wenck and family arrived Saturday to spend a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Garbisch. Mr. and Mrs. Erland Garbisch and family, also of Milwaukee, were Christmas and weekend guests at the parental home.
