Schunk, Sharon D. (5 JAN 1957)

Miss Sharon Diane Schunk, Milwaukee, and David H. Horounziak, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were married on Saturday, Jan. 5, 1957, at ten o’clock a.m. at St. Florian’s Church, Milwaukee, the Rev. Mathew performing the ceremony.  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Schunk, Milwaukee, former residents of Stanley, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Horounziak, Thorp.

For her wedding the bride wore a gown of white satin and lace with a nylon net overskirt.  It was fashioned with a Peter Pan collar trimmed with iridescent sequins.  Her crystal necklace was a gift of the groom.  A crown of sequins held her veil in place and she carried a fan shaped bouquet of carnations.

The bride’s attendant was her friend, Mrs. Henry Bachus, wearing a green taffeta dress with a nylon overskirt.  She also carried a fan shaped bouquet of carnations.

The best man was Henry Backus, friend of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a breakfast was served for the bridal party and members of the immediate families at the home of the groom’s aunt, Mrs. Mary Kielski, 4100 So. 20th St.  A reception was held at the same place in the afternoon for relatives and friends.

The groom is a graduate of Stanley High School, and the bride attended Stanley High School and the South Division High School in Milwaukee.
