Schuelke, Ernest (23 December 1888 - 26 February 1960)
Funeral servicers were conducted Monday from the Zion American Lutheran Church in Pine Valley for Ernest Schuelke, 71, who died Friday at his home on Rt. 2, Neillsville. The Rev. V.A. Ganz of Loyal officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Schuelke was born December 23, 1888, in Germany and came to Clark County as a child with his mother. He worked as a mechanic in Neillsville and in later years was engaged in farming. He had been in failing health for the last 20 years, and for three years was a bed patient. He never married.
He is survived by two half-brothers, Charles and Earl Marden, or Rt. 2, Neillsville.
Mr. Schuelke was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church of Pine Valley.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: William Meihack, Thone Karnitz, Arthur Dux, Herbert Henning, Elmer Adams, and Walter Pollnow.
"Let me Go" and "Asleep in Jesus," were sung by Wilfred B. Galstad, accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Karnitz.
People from away here for the services were: Max Schuelke, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schuelke, Arthur Hillert, and Richard Hillert, Granton.
