Elmer Marquardt of Knowles, State Master of the Grange, was a guest Wednesday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rennak. Fifteen members of the Clark Grange of York and the Fremont Grange were present for an informal discussion of Grange policy and activities. Mr. Marquardt was accompanied by his wife and by a deputy officer of the National Grange, Jerome Davis, of Indiana. A new membership campaign was also discussed. Clark Grange will meet Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kammerer in the Town of York, at 8:30.
Leander Oha(?) and daughter, Jane, of Osseo, were dinner and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Milford Rowe Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Counsell of the Town of Grant were supper guests Sunday there also.
The York Farmers Union met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Bredlau recently.
Alvin Lavene and George Greeler made a business trip to Winona, Minn., recently.
Mrs. Alvin Lavene and children were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Briski in Greenwood, recently.
Milton Garbisch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Garbisch, visited at his home north of Granton last weekend. He is a freshman at Platteville State College and a member of the college band.
