Levis Township (24 March 1960)

 

Dr. and Mrs. Rueben Larson and daughter of Minneapolis and Mr. and Mrs. George St. John of Owen were weekend visitors at the Glen Bush Home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bush and daughter, Darla, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Koboski of Merrillan attended the funeral of an aunt, Mrs. Amanda Koboski, in Menomonie Saturday.  Mrs. Koboski’s late husband was for many years conductor on a Chicago and Northwestern passenger train and was well known in this area.

 

Fred McCarty was scheduled to arrive home Tuesday or Wednesday from a Marshfield Hospital where he underwent surgery last week.

 

A benefit card party was held Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Hagie, sponsored by the Dells Dam Mothers Club.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anderson visited his sister, Mrs. Esther Green, in Merrillan, Thursday evening and helped her celebrate her birthday. 

 

Victor Horton has returned from Altoona, where he visited several weeks with his sister, Mrs. Emilie Schilling.  While there he observed his 85th birthday.

 

Eugene Ehlers, who is employed in Columbus, spent last weekend at his home.
