Pine Valley (21 April 1960)


Mr. and Mrs. Herman Strangfeld entertained the following for Easter dinner: Mr. and Mrs. John Strangfeld, Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Sischo and family and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Quast, Mrs. Leota Buettner, Mrs. Ellen Sook and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Fischer and family were supper guests.  The occasion also marked the birthday of Herman Strangfeld.


Mr. and Mrs. T. V. Scott and two children of St. Louis, Mo., visited two days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Romuald W. Schmidt.  Mrs. S. M. Scott of Fredericktown, Mo. is spending two weeks there.


Mr. and Mrs. Murel Mott have returned from a five-week trip to Florida, where they visited their sons-in-law and daughters, Lt. and Mrs. Robert C. Brown and Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Smith, in Jacksonville.  They also visited his sister in Tampa, Fla.  They were accompanied by his sister, Mrs. R. C. Olson of Merrill.


Mr. and Mrs. Murel Mott visited Thursday and Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bronstad and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Anderson, in Tomahawk.


Allen Crandall of Milwaukee arrived Friday evening for a 10-day visit with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Murel Mott.  He was accompanied by Tom Thompson and Steve Manke.


Mr. and Mrs. George Jonkel and five children of Huron, S. D., spent several days last weekend at the home of his mother, Mrs. Tom Yndogliato.  Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Upton and children visited the Jonkels and Yndogliatos Saturday evening. 


Janice Milton, a teacher in Marshfield, spent the Easter vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Milton.


Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Naedler entertained their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Swenson and family at dinner Sunday.  Alan Naedler, who is employed in Wisconsin Rapids, spent the weekend here.


Lois and Agnes Mohr, St. Paul, spent the last weekend at the homes of their respective parents; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mohr and family and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Mohr.


Tom Casler of Moline, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Zuege and three children of Madison visited Mr. and Mrs. George May last week.


Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Meredith entertained Mr. and Mrs. Tom Meredith and family and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jenni and family at dinner Easter Sunday.
