Staniec, Marianne C. (8 MAY 1957)

 

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church was the site of double ring rites Wednesday, May 8, 1957 uniting Gerald Allen Wiles and the former Marianne Catherine Staniec.  The bride was given in marriage by her father.

 

The bride wore an imported Italian rosepoint lace and tulle bodice, sabunia neckline with silk illusion insert with lace appliques and traditional long tapering sleeves coming to a point over her hands.

 

Cascades of ruffled tulle with overskirt of tulle with wide inserts of lace falling in handkerchief points.  Her pure silk English imported illusion was held by a Newport crown brimmed in pearls.  She carried a bouquet of red roses.

 

Mrs. Donna Wiles served as maid of honor in an orchid formal carrying a colonial bouquet of carnations.  The other bridesmaids were Betty Jane Staniec, sister of the bride, in a blue formal, also carrying a colonial bouquet of carnations and Sandra Wiles, sister-in-law, wearing a yellow formal carrying a colonial bouquet of carnations.

 

Tom Wiles was best man and the other attendants were Richard Wiles and Jack Wiles, both brothers of the groom.

 

The bride’s mother wore a pink lace over taffeta dress with white accessories with an orchid.

 

The groom’s mother wore an orlon, Dacron orchid dress and white accessories with an orchid.

 

A reception and supper were served at Koolmos Ballroom in Gilman followed by a dance.

 

The young couple spent their honeymoon at Niagara Falls.  Upon returning to their home in Appleton, Wisconsin the groom is employed at the Institute of Paper Chemistry as an Assistant Laboratory Technician and the bride is employed as a general clerk at the Home Mutual Insurance Co.
