Ducylowycz, Antonia (21 FEB 1922 - 5 DEC 2010)

 

COLBY -- Antonia Ducylowycz, 88, of Colby, passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at Golden Living Center-Abbotsford.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. The Rev. Daniel Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Colby following the service.

 

Antonia was born Feb. 21, 1922, in Vashouka, Ukraine, to Peter and Eugenia Juchymczuk. She was joined in marriage to her husband Wasyl Ducylowycz in Hanover, Germany, on May 21, 1947. In 1956, Antonia and Wasyl moved to America.

 

Antonia enjoyed tending to her garden, playing cards and listening to Ukrainian music. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

 

She is lovingly survived by her children, Ted (Sue Frome) Ducylowycz of Marshfield, Carol (Tom) Kellum of Johnson City, Tenn., Irene (Dan) Hederer of Colby, and Mary Wheeler of Wadena, Minn. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Steven Ducylowycz, Carla Peterson, Jeannette Kellum, Brian Kellum, Jessie Hederer, Michael (Jenny Kramer) Ducylowycz, Matthew Ducylowycz, Mitchell Gumz, Janet (Marc) Brown, Jason (Nicole Geldernick) Gumz, Tanya Gumz, Natasha Wheeler and Lily Gladback; one great-grandson, Landon Wasyl Ducylowycz; and one brother in Ukraine.

 

Antonia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wasyl.
