Greunke, Rogene (Marriage - 18 June 1960)

 

Rogene Greunke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greunke of Neillsville, and Robert Matuszak, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Matuszak, of route 1 Neillsville were married June 18, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Eisenmann in charge of the double ring ceremony.

 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was in a floor-length embroidered nylon tulle over taffeta gown. She carried a bouquet of white roses with a white orchid.

 

The matron of honor was Mrs. Richard Hickmann, a sister of the bride. The bridesmaid was Miss Diana Greunke, a cousin. Their dresses were orchid embroidery on white nylon over taffeta.

 

The groomsman was Gerald Walter, the bride’s cousin from Chippewa Falls.  John Matuszak, brother of the groom, was bestman.  The ushers were Bill Greunke and Roger Staffon.

 

Gary Hickmann, the bride’s nephew, was a miniature groom; and Vicki Greunke, the bride’s niece was a miniature bride.

 

Music was furnished by the children’s choir of St. Mary’s Church.

 

A dinner was held in the church hall. A reception and dance were held at the American Legion Hall for about 300 guests.

 

The couple is on a honeymoon in a cottage in Northern Wisconsin.  They will make their home in Milwaukee.

 

Out of town guests were from Lakewood, Calif., Chicago, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Chippewa Falls, Bear Creek, Thiensville and Cedarburg.
