Brandt, Romelle (Marriage - 11 June 1960)
The Missionary Baptist Church of Greenwood was the scene June 11 of the wedding of Romelle Brandt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Brandt, and Pfc. Ronald Tomlinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Tomlinson. The Rev. Gross performed the double ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white nylon flock over satin, with a shoulder length veil of silk illusion attached to a crown of pearls and rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of white gladioli centered with red roses and Lilies of the valley.
The maid of honor was Virginia Hansen, cousin of the groom, who wore mint green chiffon over mint green satin. The bridesmaid was Patricia Tomlinson, sister of the groom, who wore cress of pink chiffon over pink satin.
The bestman was Dale Cunard of Milwaukee, a friend of the groom. The groomsman was Larry Hansen, a cousin of the groom. Ushers were Melvin Wendt and Allen Berrett.
Mary Voie, cousin of the bride, sang "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer," accompanied by Mrs. Don Warner on the organ. A reception was held in the church basement for about 85 guests.
The groom having just returned from Germany and having six month left in the service, the couple will live temporarily at Fort Lee, Va.
Guests from out of town attending were from Milwaukee, Greenwood, Neillsville, Osseo, Globe, Christie, Wausau, Colby, Spencer, Granton, Fond du Lac, and La Quinta, Calif.
