Kaufman, Evelyn (Marriage - 20 August 1960)

Miss Evelyn Kaufman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Kaufman of Rt. 1 Humbird, and Gerald Joseph Boos, son of Joseph Boos of Cadott, were married Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fairchild, by the Rev. Fr. Molinaro.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length chapel sweep gown of embroidered tulle over satin. The skirt featured a knife pleated panel in the front with alternate ruffles of nylon tulle and embroidered tulle cascading into a bouffant brush sweep in the back.  The dress had a Basque bodice with short sleeves and an iridescent trimmed Sabrina neckline.  Her headpiece was a small pipe crown trimmed with pearls, and held her fingertip veil.  She carried a bouquet of white stephanotis and red and white roses.

The maid of honor was Beverly Boos, a sister of the groom, who wore a ballerina length gown of romance blue, embroidered starched organza and satin. Dresses identical to the maid of honor were worn by the bridesmaids, Elaine and Althea Kaufman, twin sisters of the bride.

Joey Wilks of Union Grove was ringbearer and Mary Laffe of Fairchild was the flower girl.  Her gown was fashioned by her mother.

The best man was Ronald Bourget of Cadott.  Ushers were Charles Berg and Robert Schwetz.

A reception was held at the bride’s parents’ home.

The young couple planned a wedding trip to Canada, after which they will make their home in Joliet, Ill.
