Levis Township (9 Oct 1913)

 

Sereno Wren of Kurth and son, Marion, of Washougal, Wash., visited at Will McAdams’ Tuesday afternoon and evening of last week.

 

A daughter was born to J. Stankewicz and wife Saturday, Oct. 4.  The baby was christened at Neillsville Sunday.

 

Henry Subke and wife visited at H. Blum’s Sunday evening.

 

Misses Effie Rowe and Hulda Wesenberg were guests at the L.H. Munson home Sunday.

 

Joe Kolar, who has been working for H. Blum, is now working for Ed. Begley of North York.

 

Misses Johanna Blum and Effie Rowe and Carl Schroeder called at W.J., McAdams’ Tuesday evening of last week.

 

Mrs. L.H. Munson and daughter, Edna, were callers at C. Daehnert’s Wednesday afternoon.

 

Willie, Eddie and Jennie McCloskey, Joe Stein, Caroline Zikmund and Annie Ignoski were confirmed at St. Mary’s Church in Neillsville Tuesday.

 

L.H. Munson has put up a well house and will put in a gasoline engine for pumping water.

 

Edward Begley of York was seen on our streets Friday.

 

Bennie Schroeder of Neillsville visited his grandparents, H. Blum and wife, Saturday and Sunday.

 

John Johnson and children visited his mother Sunday.

 

Wm. Meiers has purchased a gasoline engine.

 

Willie McCloskey returned Saturday from his uncle’s farm near Madison.
