Moore, Alex (19 February 1883 - 6 December 1960)

 

Alex Moore, 77, of Aberdeen, Wash., formerly of Owen, died December 6, of uremic poisoning at a hospital in Aberdeen. The body was brought to Owen and services were held December 12, with the Rev. J. R. Stone officiating.  Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Howard Devine, Emil R. Hansen, Clarence Pyatt, Julius Johnson, Arnold Hoeper and Fred Hoeper.

 

He was born in Columbia County February 19, 1883.  He married Mertie Will April 15, 1903, at Ladysmith.  His wife died in January, 1946.

 

His sons were: Buford Moore, Aberdeen, Wash., and Edward Moore, Milwaukee.  Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive as does a brother, Warren Moore, who lives in Sacramento, Cal.

 

Mr. Moore lived in Ladysmith several years after his marriage and then moved to Ontario and to Owen in 1922, where he worked in a saw mill and for the Master Package Corporation.  He served one term as alderman in Owen, and moved to Aberdeen, Wash., in 1948.
