Star Corner (30 September 1937)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bartsch and mother, Mrs. Dora Guenther and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Keuer spent Sunday in the Fred Bartsch home and helped baby Fred Celebrate his birthday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Keuer and daughters Edna and Arline, attended the Mission Festival at Rev. Bauman’s church at Neillsville Sunday afternoon and also called on Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Frantz uncle and aunt of Mrs. Keuer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Gamache of Oshkosh and Mr. and Mrs. Charley Wiesner called on Mr. and Mrs. Ray Keuer and baby Sunday afternoon before leaving for their home at Oshkosh.  They also visited relatives in Neillsville.

 

Blanchard Boller and Elwood Fossie were Marshfield callers last Friday afternoon.

 

Herb Keuer had a corn husking bee Monday evening.  An enjoyable evening was spent and a good lunch served by Mrs. H. Keuer. We all hope to come again next year.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Cresap of Iowa, are spending a few days in the Paul Nitchke and Frank Cresap homes.  Mr. Nitchke and Mr. Cresap are both unable to be up and around.  We all wish them good health soon.

 

Mrs. Henry Schier helped Mrs. Larry Stauffacher cook for silo fillers on Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schier called on Paul Nitchke on Sunday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Keuer and sisters, Edna and Arline and Herbert Fredrickson and Elwood Fossie took in the show at Neillsville on Sunday evening.

 

Arthur Riedel had a corn husking bee Friday evening.  A good time was had and a very nice lunch served by Mrs. Riedel.  Mr. Riedel sure has some very nice corn.  We all wish to come back and husk again next year.

 

Miss Evelyn Reimer came home from Withee Friday to spend Sunday with her parents.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Keuer spent Sunday evening with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Keuer.

Mrs. Ray Keuer and baby spent Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Pischer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. E. Keuer helped Mr. and Mrs. C. Wiesner of Granton dig their potatoes last Wednesday.
