Ramberg, Donald (12 December 1923 - 3 December 1986)

 

Donald D. Ramberg, 62, Withee, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 1986 at his home.

 

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 1986 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee. The Rev. Paul Petersen officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.  Pallbearers were: Richard Langiewicz, Alex Langiewicz, Chris Beck, Bill Petersen, Bernard Jacque, and Tony Jacque.

 

He was born Dec. 12, 1923 at Thorp, to Edwin and Jennie Ramberg.  His marriage to Dolores Langiewicz was June 26, 1948 at Stanley.  They farmed in the Town of Reseburg for 10 years and then moved to a farm in the Town of Hixon where they farmed for 19 years.  For the past 10 years they resided in Withee where he did carpentry work.  He also was employed at Thorp Flour and Feed, Thorp for some time.

 

He is a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Owen which will conduct graveside military rites.

 

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Lois) Zebro of Kalispell, Montana and Mrs. Dale (Rhonda) Zleznikow of Withee; two sons, Mark of Granton and Scott of Withee; two sisters, Dorothy Mattes of Thorp and Nina Martinek of Chippewa Falls; his step-mother Hilma Ramberg of Thorp, and six grandchildren.

 

He was predeceased by his parents.
